We were here: M/V Logos Hope in Cebu

My Little Big Boy

While putting the twins to bed, I suddenly remember my other boy.  He is used to sleeping over his grandmother's house every weekend.  I swiftly recall the days where all our time was just poured out to him.  I started to miss him and wanted to rush out of the room to call him but Blaze was still very much wide awake.

Brunson, is a wonder-child.  I remember giving birth to him wasn't that easy.  It required 18 long hours of labor and a C-Section to deliver him.  Finally, the transversed-cord-coiled baby was born at 7.3 lbs.

At 2-years and 8 months he started pencil pushing at Maternelle Academy where he had to learn his first French words.  We suddenly became alienated with his language and eventually decided to move him to another school.

Moments like this makes me remember how lucky I am to have this boy.  He will forever be my sweet darling.

It's an Early Day

It's 6:30am yet outside looks gloomy. I knew that if I stayed few minutes in bed, I'd be missing Brunson's class.  I have to drive him early as his class starts at 8am.

It was relatively easier for me to wake him up as I whispered "Kuya, you better wake up now while Mom can still bathe you and Blaze is still sleeping."  Blaze is the type who would cry when he wakes up without me beside him.

That's an ordinary morning for us.  He never drives me crazy in terms of waking him up, bathing and feeding him before going to school.

On our way to school he popped a question.  Something that slipped out of my mind.  I begun to realize that I need to note them and treat them seriously.  One way or the other this will form part of his memory.  Also, it would be easier for him to understand and recall things if I have a clear grasp of his questions.

"Why? Why?", "What? What?" are common questions that each growing child asks over and over.  I thought it was annoying but when I opened my thoughts, I realized that my full cooperation is significant to his development.

Looking Back: Three's a Crowd?

I sought my soul, but my soul I could not see. I sought my God, but my God eluded me. I sought my brother and I found all three. ~Author Unknown

It's always a challenge taking a shot that's almost close to perfect.  Getting their attention is relatively difficult so if you want to capture the moment you have to be patient.  If the other smiles the others are not smiling at all.  So patience is the key here.

Tip:
Get them closer.  As close as possible that the others are aware of what the other one is doing.  This way they are encouraged to follow the position of one nonetheless.

Looking Back: Spot the Difference

I never knew what to do then as to properly spotting the difference between the two.  I had to leave a tape on Blaze's foot to distinguish the two or mark it with a marking pen.  It was then difficult until we found a way to distinguish.

Distinguishing Mark/s

Shape of the Face:
Blaze's was round while Blake's was kinda elongated.

Skin Tone:
Blaze's was sort of moreno, while Blake at a glance was really mestizo.

Moles:
Blaze's has a mole on his left cheek, while Blake's totally clean.

Meet the Boys

The Eldest:  Brunson
He is a loving "kuya" of Blake and Blaze.  He's now 6 years old and currently goes to school at a Christian School near Country Mall Banilad.

He loves to be with other people.  Most of the time when not in school he'd be with his grandmother or stay at her house and spend time with the people there.

The Twin: Blake and Blaze
They came unexpectedly.  It was in the mid of typhoon that we discovered I was pregnant with the twin.  We were overjoyed as we couldn't imagine how lucky we were among the many who wanted to have a child.  When some wanted one, we were given two.
