It melts my heart

It melts my heart to see my little boys like this. Part of me wanted them to grow yet the biggest part of me wanted them to stay that way.

Don't grow up too fast... That's all I am asking for now. Surely I don't want to miss the moments with you boys. Mom loves you always.

Chasing waterfalls

Where: Kawasan Falls Badian
When: September 1-2 2012

Most memorable moment:

Seeing the boys bond and showing happy faces the whole time is extraordinary.

At the level 2 of Kawasan Falls lies a small structure that is good enough to shelter us for a day or two.

In this picture I didn't plan to go swimming yet but the kids won't spare me sometime. I hopped onto the raft and the rest is history.

My heart and soul were exalting at this wonderful moment. We don't get waterfalls everyday so we savored the moments while we were there.

Rafting

The kids were excited and woke up early. At 6am they hopped on the raft and ready to sail away to the falls.

They were so carefree, happy and spirited; I love to see them that way. We make it a point that we as parents give them a good memory while they are young.

I hope one day when they look back they will be as happy as the boys in the pictures.

Military day

Today is a guilt day. I knew for a fact that Aug 31 is the celebration of VNBC's Linggo ng Wika. Once again I missed the activity, I had to attend to our company's agent summit and besides the company president was here earlier.

Defense mechanism

Blaze had too much fun when a butterfly was placed on his palm. I didn't realize until then that it is a butterfly's defense mechanism to pretend like dead when placed on a palm.

Suddenly when dropped it flew away as if nothing happened. Wow...the marvels of life continues to amaze me!

I ❤ twins

They have their moments and almost all if the time they compete on little things such as toys.... toys.... and toys...

It melts my heart to see them like this. They are both excited to be in Bohol. Looking forward to see the tarsiers and the Chocolate Hills.

It's Saturday, a haircut day!

They had fun back at the barber shop while having their hair cut sumultaneously.

The kids are all excited

Yehey....there are going to be lots of firsts for the boys tomorrow and that made me excited too.

Our Baby is now 7

Our first born son finally turned 7.  We were suppose to be out of town to Bohol on a day trip but due to some circumstances we decided to stay in town and moved the Bohol trip to next week.

It was a perfect idea to have a double celebration since Uncle Garry is also celebrating his birthday too.  He was assigned to check some places where we would host an exclusive celebration for the entire family.

Perfect choice of food Uncle Garry, these all look so yummy and taste delicious too
We chose The Grand Convention, the place is just perfect for the celebration.  Present were the Dy, Cortes, Bollozos and Plaza's family.

Our youngest baby Allen seemed really hungry.
He's been very tired from the afternoon's activity
At church prior to going to the Kidz Planet
Catching Kuya James posing at the Zippy
The best photo I got so far of the two birthday boys
After four hours of playing at the Kidz Planet, Brunson and the boys couldn't resist food.  This is a very good Bacon Roll at Koreayum.
Finally they settled down from too much running around the room
There you go! Another pose from Kuya James.
Blaze still feeling heavy about the whole event
Earlier back at JCenter Mall while the boys are at the Kidz Planet the girls went hand and feet pampering.  Afterwards all got starved.  This was at Koreayum while we were waiting for our orders.
At least I got this photo back at District 50.  It's really a challenge to having the boys pose for mom.
Blaze is still Kuya James favorite boy.
Moment with the birthday boy
Brunson was making faces avoiding the shots of Auntie Mitcha.
Kuya Arlan and Bruno after their wine session at the Winkouske proceeded to the celebration.
One of the moment that my boys really love is having their daddy show some tricks
Brunson pretending not to look at the camera
The three boys were proud and happy to be riding the zipline.

Brunson is turning 7

Wow how time flies and Brunson's going to be seven on Sunday.  I am happy for this young lad while at the same time nervous for what the future has to offer him.  It's more exciting to prepare for his day but I got sad today since both his grandma might not make it to his out-of-town-wish.

Well well well...that's the way its got to be.  Perhaps we can plan another get-away but not off the island or maybe another activity where the kids will enjoy.  Wheew...just so so hard to be a mother.

The kids are growing...

Last Sunday was fun...
Kids ate dinner in Jollibee while hubby and I got a dinner buffer.
The family drove uphill to Nivel Hills thereafter for our favorite milk tea at Dolce.
Sundays are great as always...

How to train you child to eat vegetables?

It all started by innovating foods from boring Aroz Caldos and expensive baby foods for the twins while they were about 4-5 months old. I would normally rush home to prepare my own processed food for them.  Among the veggies that I tried their favorites are horse radish and broccoli (still expensive yet at least I'm the one preparing it).

How to start with the training?
Once they can tolerate soft diets try this recipe at home:

Mashed Potato
What you will need?
4 pcs Potatoes
1 tbs  Butter
Food Processor

Preparation:
Bring to boil 4 pcs of potatoes (do not peel yet, you won't like it soaked with water).  Once tender enough, remove the potatoes from the pan and allow to cool down.  Peel the potato and then cut into dice/pieces.

Put them in the food processor and mix with your butter.  I normally mash it for a minute or two and the texture is so great.  Your kids will start loving and exploring new textures while at the same time enjoy the new flavor. There will be initial resistance but keep on trying, the child will get used to it.

Using the same process you can also try Broccoli, Mixed Vegetables and other Veggies.  Try also carrot sticks for a snack not only they are healthy it's cost efficient too!

My Brave movie-date with kids

Dad was out for the day and we got an invite from kuya to a movie-date.

We took quicker phase to finish all the house chores as I see excitement in the eyes of my boys.

It was a great movie, the twin boys liked it so much despite the fact that they didn't want to wear their 3D eye-wear.

We are two yet we are one!

Together we came into the world;
With our chords entwined;
We brought joy and laughter to the family;
We strengthen their love and keep their faiths.

We bow to keep each other;
We bow to stay together;
We bow to uphold our spirits;
And pick up the one who is down.

How we love to make faces

Sunday is the favorite day of the family. Our best time to bond with each other and mostly the car is the most abused thing.

Today is not an exception. Although daddy was out on a meeting that didn't prevent fun from coming the way.
Blake is on his good mood and took a chance with some photos.
Later that day he continued to be cooperative.
As always, this street-smart kid is really funny.
Blaze teases me with his Zombie-like actions.

My Blakie Boy

It was only lately that he learned to appreciate photo shots. I would like to congratulate myself for this mini achievement! Hooray!

Bundle of Joy

Indeed they are my greatest gift. What more can I ask for?

It's a Fries and Sundae Bonding with Kids

We love to do simple things together like fixing the table, the beds, and many more.

One of the things we loved doing today was driving through the nearest Jollibee. We got the boys got a Sundae for each and a large fries while I got a Coke Float.

Driving back home we talked about the events of the day. How I love moments like mom-discuss-with-kids happily.

A Movie Date with Friends

It's been awhile since these boys see each other, last Sunday was a good chance. They enjoyed so much of their companies and it eases my feelings to know that they can all grow closer together.

Spiderman was a good one and we are all looking forward to another movie date with "the barkada".

Gadget time

Good morning! It's just 7am and the boys are up already. Blake searched for the iPad and luckily the twins weren't fighting for it. Thanks to Plans vs. Zombies, it's able to give them fun.
